- What counts as a cluster?
- One running agent. Uninstall the agent and the slot frees up immediately — you are never billed for a cluster that stopped reporting.
- Can I change plans mid-month?
- Yes. Upgrades and downgrades go through the Stripe customer portal and are prorated automatically.
- Is there a trial?
- The Free plan is permanent rather than a trial: one cluster, daily scans and the full check catalog, with no card required.
- Can KubeGauge see what runs in my cluster?
- The agent sends check results and Kubernetes object names — never your secret values, container images or application data. It holds read-only RBAC and opens no inbound port.
- What happens if I downgrade below my cluster count?
- Existing clusters keep their data, but scans stop for the ones beyond the new limit until you remove agents or upgrade again.
